News Desk: General Secretary of Awami League and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that if there was shame, BNP would not have blamed Awami League for the fire. Awami League does people's politics, BNP does power and pocket politics. For Awami League, power is to stand by the people in danger and for BNP, power is to steal votes. He said these things during the Eid gift distribution ceremony organized by Awami League's relief and social welfare sub-committee among the underprivileged people on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr this afternoon (Tuesday). The Eid gift distribution ceremony was held at the Awami League office on Bangabandhu Avenue.

He said that BNP had Iftar with the rich and Awami League was distributing Iftar among the common people. The bridge minister said, "Why is the BNP burning?" Is Bangladesh better? BNP has a habit of setting fire, BNP itself will be burnt by the fire which is playing with the fire to destroy the government. Obaidul Quader said, BNP is playing with the fire to get rid of Sheikh Hasina. An investigation is underway to find out from where the fire was started.

He said, the practice of setting fire in 2013, 14, 15 is yours, Mr. Mirza Fakhrul. Awami League does not play with fire. Mirza Fakhrul talks about fire today. If there was shame, the blame would not be placed on the shoulders of others, Awami League. Awami does not conspire, it is a victim of conspiracies again and again. Obaidul Quader also said that Bangladesh is doing very well despite the global crisis. Bangladesh is handling the situation better than many developed countries in the world. No one has ever died without eating. Awami League Joint General Secretary Afam Bahauddin Nashim, Deputy Propaganda and Publication Secretary Syed Abdul Awal Shamim spoke on the occasion under the chairmanship of Relief and Social Welfare Affairs Secretary Aminul Islam Amin.
