BNP is depoliticizing through provocative speeches: Obaidul Quader

News Desk: Awami League General Secretary and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has commented that BNP is doing anti-politics through provocative statements about this terrible accident without standing by the side of the victims of Bangabazar fire and sympathizing with them. In a statement sent to the media on Friday (April 7), he made this comment by condemning and protesting the provocative speech of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. Awami League General Secretary said that the terrible fire in Bangabazar has shocked the people of the whole country. The flames burned the dreams of businessmen and employees to ashes.

People from different classes and professions of the society have stood by the victims in this terrible fire of remembrance. Everyone is trying to help them as much as possible. But even such a terrible incident could not shake the sentiments of BNP. Blinded by the lust for power, the sentiments of BNP leaders have become dull. Therefore, without standing by the side of the victims, without sympathizing with them, the leaders of BNP are depoliticizing this terrible accident through provocative speeches in their usual manner. Obaidul Quader said that an investigation committee has been formed without any delay to find out the cause of the fire.

The inquiry committee has been directed to submit the report immediately. They will investigate the incident as well as prepare a list of victims and assess the extent of damage. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given directions for an impartial investigation as soon as possible. The Bridge Minister said, we want to say strongly that if any person or group is involved in this terrible incident, legal action will be taken against them. From the past history, it can be seen that BNP has failed in its so-called movement and at various times has resorted to terrorism and sabotage to disrupt the public interest.

It has killed common innocent and working people through arson in a novel way. BNP has a weakness towards arson. From that weakness, it is being investigated whether BNP has caused these fires as part of a sabotage plan or not. He said, we believe that the real cause of this fire will be revealed through the investigation. After knowing the real reason it will help the concerned authorities to take remedial measures. Also appeal to everyone, we will be able to prevent such accidents or vandalism if we are always vigilant from our respective places.
