Courtesy meeting of Saudi Ambassador with Mayor Atiqul

News desk: Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC). Saudi Ambassador to Bangladesh Isa Bin Yusuf Al Duhailan had a courtesy call and meeting with Atiqul Islam. The meeting was held at the DNCC Mayor's office at Gulshan Nagar Bhavan in the capital on Tuesday (March 28) afternoon. 

 During the meeting, the DNCC Mayor informed the Saudi ambassador about the online holding tax collection and trade license issuance of Dhaka North City Corporation, and other services including providing services on the Dhaka app for all. Right now we have started activities with the goal of building Smart Bangladesh. Bangladesh currently has immense potential for investment. Saudi Arabia can invest in Bangladesh. As a result, the mutual relations between the two countries will be stronger.

DNCC Mayor said that Sister City can be developed between the two cities with the aim of exchanging knowledge and ideas on best practices and models between Dhaka and Riyadh. A road in Riyadh can be named after Bangabandhu and a city in Dhaka can be named after the King of Saudi Arabia to strengthen the relationship between the two.

Saudi Ambassador Isa Bin Yusuf Al Duhailan, referring to the infrastructure development of Dhaka city, said that Bangladesh has continued to make continuous progress by facing various problems including Covid, war and climate change. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, Bangladesh is progressing successfully in building a developed country in 2041. Saudi Arabia will always cooperate in all aspects of Bangladesh Steps will be taken to build a sister city between Dhaka and Riyadh.

DNCC Mayor and Saudi Ambassador presented each other with mementos and gifts at the beginning of the meeting at City Hall.
