BGB-BSF Joint Retreat Parade held at Panchgarh on Independence and National Day

Al Masood, Panchagarh:  On the 52nd anniversary of Bangladesh's great independence and national day, BGB-BSF held a joint parade at the zero point of Border Towari Banglabandha in the northernmost district of Panchagarh. 

This joint BGB-BSF retreat parade was held at the zero point of Phulbari ICP under Banglabandha ICP and Indian 176 BSF battalion under the overall management of Panchagarh 18 BGB battalion on Sunday (March 26) afternoon.

Panchagarh-1 Constituency Member of Parliament Mazharul Haque Pradhan was present as the chief guest in the event. On behalf of BGB, Region Commander of North West Region of Rangpur, Brigadier General Benazir Ahmed, and on behalf of India, BSF IG of North Bengal Frontier Shri Ajay Singh were present.

Among others present on the occasion were Sector Commander of Thakurgaon Sector HQ Colonel Zia Sadat Khan, Thakurgaon's new Sector Commander Colonel MH Hafizur Rahman, Panchagarh 18 BGB Battalion Commander Lt Col Md Mahfuzul Haque, BSF Siliguri Sector DIG Nirman Singh Auzla, 176 Battalion BSF Commandant S.S. Sirohi, Panchagarh District Commissioner Zahurul Islam, Superintendent of Police SM Sirajul Huda were present.

At this time, BGB-BSF Parade Contingent displayed a startling and charming retreat parade to celebrate the day with officials and employees from both sides of Bangladesh and India. Earlier, Panchagarh-1 Constituency Member of Parliament Mazharul Haque Pradhan inaugurated the event by greeting flowers, exchanging sweets and blowing balloons.
