Freedom Award Ceremony Attended: Sheikh Hasina

News Desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attended the 2023 Independence Award distribution ceremony. Today (Thursday) morning, he joined the program organized at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital. This time, the highest civilian award of the state is being given to 9 distinguished individuals and one institution in recognition of their glorious and meritorious contribution at the national level.

The people who received the award are - freedom fighter Colonel (retd.) Samsul Alam, late Lt. AG Mohammad Khurshid, Shahid Khawaja Nizamuddin Bhuiyan and Awami League presidium member and former minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury (Maya) Bir Bikram. Apart from this, the late Dr. Muhammad Moinuddin Ahmed (Salim Al Din), Holy Mohan Dey in culture, ASM Rakibul Hasan in sports, Begum Nadira Jahan (Surma Zahid) in research and training and Dr. Ferdowsi Qadri. And the organization nominated for the award is the Directorate of Fire Service and Civil Defense.
