News desk: Health Minister Zahid Malek said that the national vitamin 'A plus' campaign will continue throughout the country tomorrow Monday. He gave this information in a press conference at the meeting room of the secretariat ministry on Sunday (February 19). , a target of feeding vitamin A capsules to a total of 2 crore children including 1 crore 95 lakh aged 12-59 months has been set.

Stating that vitamin A capsules have been sent from the central dispensary to the district, city corporation and field level, he said, extensive campaign is being carried out through government and private TV and radio and national daily newspapers and social media. The Islamic Foundation has directed all imams in mosques and Hindu Christian Unity Council to all Hindu priests in temples to announce vitamin A feeding to all children aged 6-59 months.

The health minister said that by feeding vitamin 'A' capsules, blindness of the child is prevented, normal growth of the body is ensured. Also, this capsule reduces the rate of all types of deaths by 24%. It also significantly reduces deaths due to measles, diarrhea and pneumonia.
