Debut of Smart Society to improve students' skills in Berobee

News Desk: With the aim of increasing the practical skills of students of Begum Rokeya University (Berobi), an organization named 'Skills Management and Resources Training Society (SMART) has made its debut with the slogan 'Come and be smart with skills'.

The official journey of this organization started yesterday Saturday (February 4) afternoon in a general meeting in the gallery room of the University's Hayat Mamud Bhavan, Department of Mass Communication and Journalism.

In the presence of the main sponsor of the organization, Assistant Professor of Mass Communication and Journalism Department, Mahmudul Haque, Raju Ahmed, a student of Mass Communication and Journalism Department, was announced as the convenor and Mobaswer Ahmed Shipon, a student of English Department, as the member secretary.

The organization will provide hands-on training to the students in skills development in research, article-article-book publishing, journalism, TV news presentation, public speaking, communication, photography-videography-documentary, writing style and editing, IT etc. The organization will also provide certificates at the end of each training workshop.

Mahamudul Haque said that the initiative has been taken to build such skill-oriented institutions so that the students can develop their skills free of charge and become useful for jobs and the workplace can face the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution as smart employees.

The objective of this organization is to gradually make the students proficient and practical knowledge oriented through co-education along with academic knowledge.
