5 passengers of autorickshaw injured in road accident in Bogra

Sanju Roy, Bogra: 5 passengers of a CNG-powered autorickshaw were injured in a collision with a power tiller at Sonatala in Bogra. The accident took place at Syed Ahmed College Bazar area of ​​the upazila around 10:15 am on Monday. 

Among the injured are two children and two women. They are currently undergoing treatment at Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College (SHJMEC) Hospital.
All the injured are residents of Sonatala Upazila. They are Lovelu Mia (45), son of deceased Bablu Mia (45), Gablu Mia's wife Sultana (40), Laju Mia's wife Jahanara Bibi (30) and her two daughters Nusrat Akhtar (7) and Fatema Akhtar (8).

Assistant Sub-Inspector Lalon Hossain of Lihimpur (Medical) Police Outpost confirmed the matter. The police officer said that the condition of all the injured is critical.

Sonatala Thana Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Saikat Hasan said that an auto-rickshaw collided with a power tiller in the area between College Bazar Road and Gabtali Bridge Road at around 10:15 AM on Monday. At that time, the locals rescued 5 people in an auto-rickshaw and admitted them to Shajimek Hospital. They are under treatment there. I know that the condition of all of them is serious.

The police officer said that after the accident, no one could be identified or arrested as the power tiller ran away. Legal action will be taken subject to complaints in this regard.
