International Desk  : Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, is lifting the ban imposed on former US President Donald Trump. Meta Company said this on Thursday.

And through this, Trump is returning to social media after being banned for two years. Nick Clegg, president of Mater Global Affairs, said in a statement: 'People need to know what our politicians say.'

Donald Trump lost the US presidential election in 2020. He used social media to spread various misleading information about it. On his orders, supporters of the Republican Party attacked Capitol Hill in 2021.

After this incident, then-President Donald Trump was banned by Facebook indefinitely. Met official Nick Clegg said, "Facebook banned Trump after praising the rioters who participated in the Capitol Hill riots."

He said they have analyzed the data and found that Trump's Facebook account is no longer likely to pose any risk to the general public.

But since Trump has broken the rules before, if he does it again, the next time he will face a bigger penalty.

Meanwhile, since Trump will run in the next presidential election, his Republican Party has been pressuring Meta to activate his account for days.

After deciding to lift the meta ban, Trump took a dig at Facebook and posted on his social media called Truth Social. There he wrote - 'Facebook lost billions of dollars, by banning your favorite president.'
