News Desk: Protest and march of students on the road of Dakshinkhan Kaola area to protest the death of Northern University student Nadia who was hit by a bus named Victor Paribahan in Bhatara area of the capital. Officer-in-charge (OC) Jahangir Alam Khan of Dakshin Khan police station confirmed this information on Monday (January 23).
He said that around 12 noon, some students came down to the street in Kawla area and protested the death of university student Nadia and demanded exemplary punishment of the guilty.
On Sunday (January 22), the bus hit a motorcycle in Bhatara area around 1:15 pm. At that time, Nadia died in Baschapa. His friend Mehdi Hasan was injured. Deceased Nadia is a first semester student of pharmacy department of that university. His house is in Chazhara of Fatulla police station in Narayganj. A week ago, Nadia stayed in a hostel in Uttara.
After this accident, the students of Northern University blocked the road in Kaola area. They protested demanding compensation to the family of the deceased Nadia, cancellation of the route permit of Victor Paribahan and bus stop in Kaola area. They withdrew from the road in the evening after being assured that necessary action would be taken regarding their demands.
