News desk: In the last 24 hours, 27 people have been admitted to the hospital due to dengue fever in the country. With them, the number of dengue patients admitted in various public and private hospitals of the country stands at 202. However, no one has died due to dengue in the last 24 hours.
Saturday (January 7) in charge of Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health Dr. Md. This information was given in the dengue report signed by Zahidul Islam.
It is said that 14 of the 27 people admitted to the hospital with dengue from Friday morning to Saturday 8 am are residents of Dhaka and 13 are from outside Dhaka.
According to the information of the Directorate, from January 1 to 7 this year, 242 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue. Among them 123 residents of Dhaka and 119 outside Dhaka.
On the other hand, during this period, 40 people recovered and got discharge from the hospital. Among them 29 residents of Dhaka and 11 outside Dhaka.
Meanwhile, no one has died due to dengue in the last 24 hours. No death due to dengue was reported in the new year.
In the outgoing year (2022), 281 people died due to dengue, the highest in the history of the country. 27 people died of dengue in December, the last month of the year. At the same time, 62 thousand 382 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue in the year under discussion.
In 2022, the first dengue death of the year occurred in July. 9 people died in July. Then in August 11, 34 in September, 86 in October, 113 in November and 27 in December died of dengue.
