Sheikh Hasina is once again the president of Awami League

News Desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been re-elected as the president of Bangladesh Awami League. Awami League representatives elected Sheikh Hasina as the president in the second session of the conference at Engineers Institution in the capital on Saturday (December 24) afternoon.

As per the party's leadership election custom, a leader first proposed the name of the president in the second session of the conference. Later another leader supported it. It is passed by unanimous vote. This time was no exception. Leaders and activists at all levels of the party consider Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina as an 'option' as the president. As a result, Sheikh Hasina got the responsibility of Awami League president for the tenth time with the trust and love of the leaders and activists.

Earlier, the first session started at 10:30 AM and ended at 1:30 PM. The first session ended with the speech of party president and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

After that, the second session of the conference started at 3 pm chaired by the Prime Minister. At this time, the Awami League president opened the stage for the speech of the councillors. Councilors from each department will speak. If any councilor is absent after this, an extended meeting will be held. He will present his speech there.

Ancient and traditional political party Awami League. The independent and sovereign state of Bangladesh was created by the hands of this party. The party has been in power for the longest time in the history of the country. The most development and progress of this country is in the hands of Awami League. The party, which has been in power for three consecutive terms, now has its eyes on the next national elections. The party is holding its 22nd National Conference just a year before that.
