Sports Desk: Bangladesh lost 7 wickets for 159 runs. There was a fear of collapsing below two hundred. From there, Liton Das formed a fighting pair with Taskin Ahmed of the lower order.

Mohammad Siraj finally broke their resistance of 60 runs from 76 balls. He bowled Liton with a great swing. Litton's innings was 73 runs from 98 balls with 7 boundaries.

Bangladesh's innings did not go far after Liton got out. Last batter Khaled Ahmed was run out for 4. Taskin was unbeaten on 31 runs.

Bangladesh's second innings ended at 231 runs in 70.2 overs. As a result, India's target to win the Mirpur Test is 145 runs.

Bangladesh fell behind by 87 runs in the first innings of this Test. Two openers Nazmul Hossain Shanto and Zakir Hasan showed determination in the late afternoon of the second day. Bangladesh ended the day with 7 runs for no wicket in 6 overs.

But at the beginning of the third day, the Tigers were in great danger. Ravichandran Ashwin bowled LBW Shanth (5). Then a great delivery by Mohammad Siraj touched Muminul's bat and went into the hands of wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant. Muminul also does 5.

Shakib Al Hasan is once again set and out. The Bangladesh skipper gave a simple catch at extra cover off Unadkat for 13 off 36 balls.

Mushfiqur Rahim also could not catch the lead of the team. LBW by Akshar Patel's spin for 9 runs. Bangladesh went into the lunch break of the third day with 71 runs for 4 wickets.

Zakir Hasan was playing great. Fifty innings also came out of his bat in the second Test in a row. But after completing the fifty, the left-handed opener seemed to forget the responsibility. Aparimandarshi played a shot.

Umesh Yadav's delivery, which Zakir could have left at will, played it in the air towards the boundary. Siraj takes an easy catch at deep third man. Zakir's patient innings of 51 runs from 135 balls included 5 boundaries.

Bangladesh could have lost another wicket quickly after Zakir's return. Liton Das survived by scoring 20 runs. Virat Kohli is caught at slip by Akshar Patel.

But Mehdi Hasan Miraj (0) could not survive. Akshar Patel misses the line of the ball while playing a sweep, the umpire points the finger at the LBW appeal.

In the previous Test, he could not even reach the twenty mark in two innings. This time in the first innings, he returned to the dressing room with only 6. In the second innings, Nurul Hasan Sohan did not borrow anything else. He started hitting as soon as he came to the wicket.

Playing in T20 style, however, the Tiger wicketkeeper could not go very far. He fell into the trap of stumping Akshar Patel's whirlwind 31 off 29 balls with 2 fours and 1 six.

Sohan was the only recognized batsman along with Liton Das. After he got out, the lower order was out. However, Litton fought with Taskin.

Earlier, Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer's 165-run partnership put India at 314 in the first innings. Pant 93 and Iyer scored 87 runs. Bangladesh scored 227 in the first innings on Muminul Haque's 84 runs.
