Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the 22nd National Conference

News Desk: Awami League's 22nd National Conference has been inaugurated by party president and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

At 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, he inaugurated the conference by flying white doves and balloons as symbols of peace.

The general secretary of the party, Obaidul Quader, was with him at the time. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina hoisted the national flag and the party flag was hoisted by party general secretary Obaidul Quader. After the inauguration of the conference, Sheikh Hasina sat on the stage.

Office Secretary Barrister Biplab Barua will present the condolence proposal.

Meanwhile, councilors and delegates are entering the conference venue through the gate of TSC and Kalimandi of Dhaka University in a small procession.

General Secretary's report will be presented by Obaidul Quader. Besides, the convenor of the reception committee Sheikh Fazlul Karim Salim will give a welcome speech. The first session of the conference will end with the speech of the last president, Sheikh Hasina. Later, the council session will begin at the Engineers Institution Auditorium. The president and general secretary of the party will be elected in this session. For this purpose, a three-member election commission has also been formed for the party's leadership election.

This conference will highlight the commitment to build a smart Bangladesh by 2041. Keeping this issue in mind, the slogan of the conference has been determined as 'Consistence to build a developed, prosperous and smart Bangladesh under the leadership of national treasure Sheikh Hasina in the development journey'. The first session of the conference will end with the speech of President Sheikh Hasina. About 7 thousand councilors and lakhs of leaders and workers from all over the country will participate in this year's national conference.

Meals have been arranged for about 50,000 people including the invited guests. Leaders of various political parties and representatives of foreign embassies in Dhaka have been invited.

The council session will be held today at three o'clock in the premises of the Institution of Engineers. At the beginning, the adjourned meeting of the current executive committee. After that, a three-member election commission headed by Yusuf Hussain Humayun, a member of the party's advisory council, will come to the stage for the leadership election. The leaders of the central committee will come down from the stage and sit in the front seats. After that, the election of leaders will begin. Usually the Awami League leader is elected on the basis of negotiation and compromise. The leaders of the party think that it will be the same this time too.
