News Desk: The time of Corona has made everyone accustomed to online shopping. Starting from raw market, sarees and bangles are being bought online. Nothing is missing from the furniture. But no matter how much you shop online throughout the year, no one wants to miss the end of year sale.

From big e-commerce sites to small online pages, all organize year-ending sales. Many people shop during this time to buy their favorite items at low prices. Cheating is the biggest risk during this festive season. Because cyber criminals are everywhere. Many buyers often fall into their trap and lose huge sums of money.

So know some ways to avoid fraud in online shopping. Then you will be saved from big trouble very easily. Let's find out those ways-

Do not login to any unknown links
Buyers are asked to create an account to purchase from e-commerce websites. Through which they can shop. Customers are required to provide an email address and phone number when creating an account. That phone number and email address will receive updates on various offers later. But be careful not to actually login to any link. Fraudsters often steal all of this account information. Then without the knowledge of the buyer enters that account and orders, that too using the payment option of that account.

Use a safe browser
Sometimes scammers send a link in mail or WhatsApp that looks exactly like a genuine website. Check that website thoroughly and then order. By looking at the logo and URL of the website, you can understand whether the seti is real or fake.

Do not share OTP with anyone else
Two factor authentication method is used in all types of financial transactions including banks to avoid fraud. However, fraudsters are stealing money by circumventing this method. So never share your OTP with anyone. Don't forget to ask for OTP by calling from a website or page. Usually no e-commerce website or bank ever calls for OTP.

Don't save card or any information
For easy shopping, popular websites often save payment options. It takes less time later. Ordered quickly. But don't save any card or anything information just for security. Sometimes phone or website information is stolen, banking information can also be stolen.

Check whether the number is verified or not
There are several apps including Truecaller to understand whether the phone number is correct or not. Use them. Wrong numbers or fraudsters numbers are often listed. Then you can be alerted by seeing in advance which number the phone is coming from. If you see a foreign number, if you do not recognize it, it is better not to pick up that phone.
