Bangladesh can be a market of more than 3 billion people: Sheikh Hasina

News Desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called for investment in Bangladesh and said that due to our geographical location, Bangladesh can be a market for more than 3 billion people. There are about 17 crore people in the country.

The Prime Minister said this while officially inaugurating the Bangladesh Special Economic Zone (Japanese Economic Zone) under the jurisdiction of Arai Hazare Beja in Narayanganj.

He joined the program through video conference from Ganobhaban on Tuesday (December 6) morning.

The Prime Minister said that foreign investments are coming to our economic zones. Besides Japan, many other countries including India, China, Saudi Arabia have expressed interest. Those who come will give opportunities in the economic zone as they want. They can develop as they wish.
