News Desk: The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has decided to conduct the scholarship examination as the fifth class final examination has been cancelled. This decision was taken in an inter-ministerial meeting on November 28.
Yesterday Saturday (December 3) the matter was confirmed by the Additional Secretary (Schools) of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education. Muhibur Rahman.
According to the sources of the Directorate of Primary Education, this exam will be conducted in the last week of this month. However, not all students can take this exam. Only 10 percent students selected by the school will appear in the exam. For this reason, the district education officials have been instructed to send the information by December 6 after determining the number of centers by calculating 10 percent of the total students.
Examination will be conducted at each upazila headquarters.
After the introduction of the Primary Education Completion (PEC) examination in 2009, the scholarship was started on this basis. Earlier students had to appear for separate scholarship exams. But there was no PEC exam for the last two years. As a result primary and junior scholarships are closed. The government has announced that these two exams will not be held anymore. The Department of Primary Education returned to the previous system. This exam has started again from this year.
