The price of LP gas has increased

News Desk:  The price of private liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has increased. Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has increased the price of 12 kg cylinder by 46 taka to 1 thousand 297 taka, which was earlier 1 thousand 251 taka. 

Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced the new price of LP gas in a virtual press conference on Sunday. Chairman of BERC announced the price increase. Abdul Jalil. 

It was informed in the press conference that the price of each cylinder of 12 kg has been increased by 51 taka and the new price has been fixed at 1251 taka. Earlier, in October, BERC reduced the price of 12 kg cylinder of LP gas by 35 rupees to 1200 rupees.

BERC secretary Khalilur Rahman, member Mokbul-e Elahi and related officials were present in the press conference. This price will be effective from 6 pm on Sunday. In the previous month, 12 kg had increased by Tk 51. 

Chairman of BERC in response to a question from journalists. Abdul Jalil said that according to the government's wish, the concerned department has amended the BERC Act. The government can change the law if it wants. The commission will run according to law. BERC fixed the price of LPG for the first time in the country on April 12 last year. Since then the price has been adjusted every month.
