Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is having a meeting with the secretaries at noon

News Desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will meet with secretaries to find ways to solve the country's economy, food and energy crisis. He will participate in the secretary meeting at the Prime Minister's office on Sunday (November 27) at 12:30 pm.

According to related sources, 10 agendas have been set in this year's secretary meeting, including ensuring food safety. It will discuss the ongoing food situation in the country. There is supposed to be a discussion to figure out what kind of challenges there are in this sector.

Earlier on August 18 last year, such a meeting was held in the conference room of the National Economic Council (NEC) in the capital. Sheikh Hasina joined the meeting virtually from Ganobhaban.

The concerned parties said that the secretaries will be given directions to deal with the current critical situation in the context of the coronavirus epidemic and the Russia-Ukraine war in the November 27 meeting.

Apart from this, the food crisis which is being predicted by various international analyses, has already been given instructions to the cabinet by the Prime Minister.

Besides, there will be a discussion on the adoption and implementation of new development projects. The agenda of the meeting includes, Chittagong Hill Tracts situation; Ensuring supply of fertilizers to increase agricultural production; determination to bring fallow land under cultivation; Follow financial regulations in government work; Plans on the use of information technology to deliver government services; Review of necessary preparedness for earthquakes, fires, floods and natural disasters and discussion on good governance and ethics.

Many important decisions will be taken from the secretarial meeting regarding ongoing matters. Sources said that there will be an urge to implement those decisions quickly.
