The 15th International Children's Film Festival begins in Tangail

Md. Rashed Khan Menon, Tangail : Children's Film Festival is starting in Tangail under the slogan 'Frame Frame Next Dream' under the initiative of Children's Film Society and under the auspices of Children's Film Society Bangladesh. The 15th International Children's Film Festival Bangladesh Tangail Phase is starting on November 24.

On this occasion, a press conference was held at "Bangabandhu and Liberation War Museum" auditorium on Victoria Road in Tangail district city at 11:30 on November 22 (Tuesday). President of Children's Film Society Tangail and Director of Tangail Festival Mueed Hasan Tarit read the written statement at the press conference. Convener of the organizing committee Samya Rahman and joint convener Enamul Hasan addressed the press conference. 

Through a press conference, the organizers said that Tangail Sadar (5) Constituency Member of Parliament Chanowar Hossain (MP) will inaugurate the festival as the chief guest at 11 a.m. on November 24. Cultural personality Nasir Uddin Yusuf will be present as the distinguished guest. Filmmakers Tanveer Hossain Prabal, Riazul Riju and 15th International Children's Film Festival Bangladesh Festival Director Shahriar Al Mamun will be present as special guests. Eminent persons of Tangail will be present in the festival. Various educational institutions have been invited to the festival.

Also, festival brochures, posters, leaflets, T-shirts etc. have been published on the occasion of the festival. Besides, on November 25, director Enamul Hasan will conduct a workshop on cinematography and animation director Shahriar Al Mamun will conduct a workshop on animation. Filmmaker Raka Noshin Nawar will conduct a workshop on mobile film production on November 26. The closing ceremony of the festival will be held on the same day at 5 pm.

20 films for children from 14 countries will be screened in this three-day film festival. There are exhibitions daily at 11 am, 2 pm and 5 pm. All exhibitions of the festival will be open to everyone including parents, children and teenagers. Bangladeshi film Kanthal, 45 minutes will be screened on Thursday, November 24 at 11 am; Dhaka city, 11 minutes; Obscenity, 6 minutes; Framed Memories, Malaysia, 7 min. 2 pm Pathshala, India, 19 minutes; Finders of the Lost Yacht, Finland, 86 minutes. Dipu number two, Bangladesh, 154 minutes at 5 pm. 

The Republic of Children, Poland, 72 minutes will be shown on Friday, November 25, 2022 at 11 am; Messi, Iran, 14 minutes. 2pm Sumo Kid, Russia, 88 minutes; Creepy, Germany, 5 minutes; Thank You for Your Teeth, Romania, 2 min. 5 pm my friend Rashed, Bangladesh, 96 minutes. Screening Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Jim Button and the Wind 13, Germany, 109 minutes; Summon's Odyssey-Vost Eng, France, 26 minutes. 2pm Neighbours, Switzerland, 90 minutes; May or Never, UK, 10 minutes; My Grandma Matildi, Mexico, 10 minutes; Moon Landing, Costa Rica, 6 minutes. 6 pm telecast Jain Par, India, 164 min. The festival is co-hosted by District Arts Academy Tangail.

Besides, Buro Bangladesh, Melo, Time TV, Dugdugi Media, Children's Foundation and Spotlight have also supported in organizing the festival. It should be noted that the 15th International Children's Film Festival Bangladesh was organized by Children's Film Society Bangladesh in 8 sections of the country including Dhaka during the last month of March. 117 children's films from 38 countries were screened at the Dhaka festival.
