International Desk: Eight passengers died in a small plane crash in the South American country of Colombia. Among them six passengers, two crew. The fatal incident occurred when the plane crashed into a house due to mechanical failure.

The plane took off from Olaya Herara Airport on Monday (November 21) morning local time, authorities said. Then the plane's engine malfunctioned. The plane was told to return to the airport but failed to do so and crashed into a house in Medellin, Colombia's second largest city. At this time black smoke is seen in the sky.

However, although the plane crashed on a house, there was no information that any resident of that house was injured or killed.

In this regard, the mayor of the city, Daniel Quintero, said on Twitter that the government will provide all kinds of support to the victims of the plane crash.

The city of Medellin is nestled in a narrow valley surrounded by the Andes Mountains.
