News Desk: Facebook is one of the most popular social media platforms in the world. Share whatever you want with virtual friends.

Again, Facebook used to inform about everything from political opinions to religious and even your sexuality. Especially when opening an account, this information had to be added to the social media site. However, from now on, users do not have to write these things on Facebook. The Meta-owned site is closing this opportunity.

From December 1, Facebook will remove religious views, political, sexual, etc. from the platform. Even those who open accounts after that day will not have to tell Facebook anything about their religious, political and sexual views.

Social media consultant Matt Navara first reported the change to Facebook. Navara shared a screenshot on Twitter. Where he said, Facebook will not have to tell any Facebook user about his religion or gender in the future.

Matt Navara said it would not have protected user privacy. Many people have tried to fool Facebook's algorithm by creating fake profiles for dishonest purposes!

Meta spokesman Emil Vazquez said in a blog post that the decision was made in an effort to make it easier for users to use and navigate Facebook. They are picking up multiple fields of the profile. Interested in, religious views, political views and addresses. The change reflects Meta's greater public relations efforts, he said.
