Al Masud, Panchagarh : The body of a former UP member named Abdul Barek (58) was recovered from the paddy field in Boda by Boda police station.
On Thursday (November 17) afternoon, locals recovered the body from the paddy field next to the house in Sonapara area of Maidandighi union of Boda upazila of Panchagarh. Later, the body was recovered and sent to Panchgarh Modern Sadar Hospital morgue for post-mortem.
According to the police and local sources, Abdul Barek left for the local Kaderpur market with a bicycle on Wednesday evening. No trace of him could be found at night. The family searched for him in various places but could not find him. Locals informed the police after seeing his dead body lying in an empty paddy field near the house on Thursday morning. Boda Police reached the spot and sent his dead body to Panchgarh Modern Sadar Hospital Morgue for post-mortem. However, the police could not initially say whether it was murder or not. Meanwhile, Panchagarh Superintendent of Police SM Sirajul Huda (PPM) visited the spot after receiving the information.
Meanwhile, Boda Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sujoy Kumar Roy confirmed the recovery of the body of a former UP member named Barek from the paddy field and said the body has been sent for post-mortem. The report can actually be detailed.
