Gathering in Faridpur demanding recognition and dignity of the victims of genocide in the war of liberation

Ehsan Rana, Faridpur : The affected family members and people from different professions have gathered to demand that all the martyrs and their families who were victims of genocide in the 1971 war of independence should be given the status of martyr families. 

On Wednesday afternoon, thousands of martyrs' family members and supporters of the Liberation War participated in the organization of the Martyr's Memory Preservation Committee at Ishan Babu's house in Ishan Gopalpur Union of Sadar Upazila. 

General Secretary of Faridpur District Lawyers Association Adv. Manik Majumdar. Dibyendu Dwip, convener of the central committee of the Shaheed Smriti Preservation Committee, gave a welcome address on the occasion. 

Ishan Gopalpur Union Awami League former Joint Secretary Ujjal Sarkar Lawton conducted the meeting and Shaheed Memory Preservation Committee under the direction of Uppal Sarkar Sagar, member secretary of Greater Faridpur Committee, the family members of the massacre victim's family members presented the horrific picture of that day.

Meanwhile, the speakers demanded that the martyrs of the genocide victims and their families should be given the status of martyr families considering the contribution of these families in the liberation war. #
