Closing Ceremony of U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Safe Aqua Farming for Economics and Trade Improvement SAFETI

Ambassador Haas celebrated the closing of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Safe Aqua Farming for Economics and Trade Improvement SAFETI Project with Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim. SAFETI implemented by Winrock International, had excellent results:

It supported 25,000 shrimp and prawn producers

Shrimp culture productivity increased 125% ; and

Farmers increased their sales by 120%
