Mohammad Nawaz of Pakistan will play for Rangpur in BPL

Sports desk: The schedule of the 9th Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) season is final, it will start in January next year. That is why the team formation process of BPL franchises has started about three months ago. The name of Rangpur Riders is included in that list. The team has added Pakistani star all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz to their squad.

Rangpur Riders confirmed the matter through a post on its official Facebook page. Adding Nawaz's picture to that post, they wrote, 'Welcome Nawaz! The battle for victory will be roared across the BPL.'

The champions of 2017 did not play in the last BPL. However, the team from Rangpur is returning to its glory in the coming season. The team announced the news on their Facebook page. Yesterday, the team said, 'We are coming back to the field in the fight to win. Riders are back! See you in BPL.'

Earlier on Wednesday Sylhet Sixers unveiled the BPL logo as the first team of this season. The Sylhet team announced the names of their icon cricketers and coaching staff at a prestigious hotel in the capital. Former captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza is the icon of Sylhet.
