5 robbers arrested while preparing for robbery in Tangail city

Md. Rashed Khan Menon (Russell), Tangail: Sadar Thana police arrested 5 criminals while preparing for a robbery in college neighborhood of Tangail district town. Sadar Thana police informed this information through a press briefing on Saturday, October 22. The robbers are Morfiq (37) son of Abdul Jalil of Dakshin Thana neighborhood of Tangail Sadar upazila, Samrat (34) son of Abdul Hai of the same area, Yusuf Ali (25) son of Khalil of Yugani area, Abid Hasan Hriday (30) son of Mintu Mia of Bepari neighborhood and Lelin (26) son of Liton Mandal of Rajabari area of ​​Kalihati upazila. According to the police, the robbers gathered in an empty place next to the house of Mizanur Rahman in the South College neighborhood of Sadar Upazila late last night along with a few other fugitives in the dark with domestic weapons including sharp chapatis and iron rods. Sadar Thana police arrived at the spot based on secret information. Officer in charge of Sadar police station Mohammad Abu Chalam Mia said that they were arrested while preparing for the robbery based on secret information. 11 cases in the name of Dakat Rafiq, 8 in the name of Samrat, 11 in the name of Yusuf, 7 in the name of Abid Hasan and 2 in the name of Lelin are pending in the court. Tangail Sadar police station SI Shubhra Saha filed a case against them.
