Pabna student assault case; Teaching starts from Sunday

Tofazzal Hossain Babu, Pabna: A case has been registered at the police station in connection with a class X student of Bheramara Udayan Academy of Bhangura Upazila, Pabna who forcibly removed him from the class and assaulted and bribed the teachers. On Wednesday night (October 19), the headmaster of the school, Hedayetul Haque, gave a written complaint to the police station mentioning the names of 14 people, and the police registered it as a case. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhangura Police Station Rashidul Islam confirmed the filing of the case on Thursday (October 20) afternoon. He said that a case has been filed against 14 people in the police station for beating students and bribing teachers. Operation is on to nab the accused. However, he did not reveal the names of the accused for the sake of arrest. Meanwhile, no student appeared in the class on Thursday as the teaching was announced in the school. However, as the office is open, teachers and staff can be seen in the school. It is reported that the school will open next Sunday (23 October) after the closure of classes due to the situation on Wednesday. Headmaster Hedayetul Haque was contacted several times on his mobile to get his statement, but he did not receive the mobile phone. However, Altab Hossain, the senior teacher of that school, said that teaching was stopped in the school considering the safety of the students. Students have been asked to appear in class next Sunday.
