Md. Kamrul Islam: When you think of the beach, the image of Cox's Bazar beach floats before your eyes. Besides, the picture of Patenga in Chittagong also comes up. But there is another beach in Bangladesh that is mired in neglect, Kuakata in South Bengal. The media of Bangladesh has not presented Kuakata to the world in the same way as Cox's Bazar or Chittagong have been presented. A few days ago, the main problem for tourists to enjoy the beauty of Kuakata was the communication system. With the development of that communication system, Kuakata is witnessing a huge influx of visitors. Padma Bridge, the largest bridge in the country, along with Mawa-Bhanga Expressway, Bhanga-Barisal Expressway from Dhaka, has brought an unprecedented change in communication. Kuakata is located in the southern district of Patuakhali. This 18 km long beach is popularly known as “Sagar Kanya”. The glitz of Cox's Bazar has not yet eclipsed the natural beauty of Kuakata. Huge buildings were not built. Kuakata has yet to be overwhelmed by the plethora of beach hawkers and photographers. Tourists find natural beauty in Kuakata and ride three wheeler rickshaws or auto rickshaws or motorbikes. It's rare to be lucky enough to see a magical sunrise and a crimson sunset from the same spot. Kuakata brings that luck to you. A trip to Kuakata becomes enjoyable to enjoy the serene environment of nature, while lazing on a beach chair under the night stars and starlight, and having a dinner of sea fish fry and barbecue. Which can defeat even the fondest imagination is the quiet and serene environment of Kuakata. The environment shrouded in security until midnight, the urge to enjoy the roar of the waves at low tide makes you want to come back to Kuakata again and again. There are opportunities to come to Kuakata in the southern district of Patuakhali from Dhaka or all over the country by road, river or air. In the future, the opportunity to travel to Kuakata by rail is being created. Tourists flock to Kuakata in search of a noise-free environment to discover themselves. There are several tourist destinations both east and west from Kuakata's main beach, making Kuakata an enjoyable trip for tourists. East and West Zhouban stand to offer a touch of magic to the tourists. A chance to see a part of Sundarbans while enjoying the beauty of three river estuary, Lembu Char, Cowar Char, Buddhist temple, green forest, Jhowban along the western beach. Kakdaka's morning sunrise ride will be a vivid memory to remember. Fatra forest or fresh water well of Kuakata, Gangamati forest, Misripara Buddhist temple or Seema Buddhist temple can be visited in Kuakata tour. A variety of items made by Rakhines are available in Rakhine markets. Hospitality is part of the Kuakata people's tradition. Which is the main livelihood of tourist destinations. Several modern hotels, motels, resorts are already under construction for the accommodation system of various categories of tourists. In order to accommodate more tourists, the local administration needs to be more pro-active in building infrastructure and take several decisions that should be tourist friendly. Author: Md.
