News desk: Various crime and intelligence departments of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have arrested 32 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs by conducting anti-drug operations in different areas of the capital.
At this time, a large quantity of drugs was seized from the arrested. Besides, 19 cases have been filed against the arrested in different police stations of DMP.
On Wednesday (October 5) morning, DMP's Media and Public Relations Department Deputy Police Commissioner (DC) Md. Farooq Hossain confirmed this information.
He said that as part of DMP's regular anti-narcotics operation, they were arrested from 6 am on Tuesday (October 4) to 6 am today.
During the arrest, 572 pieces of yaba, 52 grams of heroin, 12 kg of ganja and 23 bottles of country liquor were seized from them.
He also said that 19 cases under the Narcotics Control Act have been registered against the arrested police stations.
