Army free eye treatment in Khagrachari

Free eye care services and medicines have been distributed by the Khagrachari region under the 24th infantry division of Bangladesh Army, Chittagong. The program was held on Tuesday (October 4) at Babuchra Government Primary School grounds under the supervision of Khagrachari Region organized by Dighinala zone. As part of the army's humanitarian work, more than 100 eye patients and 500 general patients were given medical care and free medicines. On the occasion of providing eye care services, Commander of Khagrachari Region, Brigadier General Mohammad Jahangir Alam, said that the common people of the remote areas of the hills are often unable to go to the city and seek the help of specialist doctors due to financial difficulties, inadequacy of communication etc. As a result, they have to spend day after day with eye diseases. This eye camp is organized for them. At this time, Dighinala zone captain Lt. Colonel Rumon Parvez, Khagrachari Region G2I Major Md Zahid Hasan and Babuchra Union Parishad Chairman Santosh Jiban Chakma were present.
