SSC question paper: Two teachers in jail after remand

Kurigram Correspondent: Two assistant teachers of Bhurungamari Nehal Uddin Pilot Girls' High School, Aminur Rahman Russell and Zobair Hossain, arrested in the ongoing SSC examination in Bhurungamari Upazila of Kurigram, have been remanded to jail by the police. On Tuesday, October 4, when the two teachers were produced in the Bhurungamari Administrative Court of the Kurigram Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, the judge ordered them to be sent to jail. Bhurungamari police station officer in charge (OC) Alamgir Hossain confirmed this information. Earlier last Sunday (October 2), the court granted a two-day remand to Bhurungamari Nehal Uddin Pilot Girls High School assistant teacher of English subject Aminur Rahman Russell and part-time teacher of Islamic education subject Jobair Hossain. After the court order, the police took them to Bhurungamari police station and interrogated them. After two days of interrogation, the police handed them over to the court on Tuesday. Earlier on September 29, the school's head teacher and central secretary Lutfar Rahman was remanded for three days and interrogated by the police. After the interrogation, he was sent to prison by the court on October 2. OC said, Bhurungamari Nehal Uddin Pilot Girls High School headmaster Md. Five teachers of that school including Latfar Rahman and a peon have been arrested. After the arrest, the headmaster Lutfar Rahman and two assistant teachers of the same school were remanded for further questioning. OC said that the police got important information during the interrogation. OC said, 'Important information has been found in the remand interrogation of the arrested teachers. They are being verified. Besides, efforts are on to arrest the other absconding accused and school office assistant Abu Hanif. ' Incidentally, in the ongoing SSC examination, there was a question leak incident at Bhurungamari Nehal Uddin Pilot Girls' High School center on the day of the second English paper examination on September 20. Center secretary of that center and head teacher of the school. Police recovered six subject question papers from Latfar Rahman's room. The examination of those subjects has not been held yet. After getting the facts of the incident, the education board canceled the questions of six subjects including mathematics, physical science, agriculture and chemistry - the examination of these four subjects was suspended. Bhurungamari Nehal Uddin Pilot Girls High School Headmaster Md. accused of being involved in the incident. The examination control committee filed a case against 10-15 unknown people by mentioning the names of Latfar Rahman, assistant teacher of English subject Aminur Rahman Russell, part-time teacher of Islamic education subject Zobair Hossain and office assistant Abu Hanif. In this incident, the police arrested five teachers and one peon, including the headmaster of that school, Lutfar Rahman. Office assistant Abu Hanif is absconding.
