Thakurgaon Representative: A case was filed against Akhil Chandra Roy (50), Chairman of Dholarhat Union of Ruhia Police Station of Sadar Upazila, for raping the clean worker (35) of the Parishad. The victim in this incident filed a case against UP Chairman Akhil Chandra Roy and another computer operator of the Parishad, Ibrahim, at the Ruhia police station on Friday night. According to the details of the case, on the afternoon of September 27, Chairman Akhil Chandra Roy asked the cleaner to clean his bathroom. At that time, when the woman went to clean the bathroom, Chairman Akhil Chandra Roy entered the bathroom and forcibly raped the woman. When the matter was told to Ibrahim, the computer operator of the women's council, he also molested the woman and tried to rape her. At that time, the woman left Ibrahim's room after screaming and went home and told her husband everything. Chairman Akhil Chandra Roy and Ibrahim went to the woman's house on the night of the incident and admitted that they had made a mistake and left 2000 rupees on the bed of the woman's house for treatment. The woman's medical examination was completed at the Thakurgaon 250-bed general hospital on Saturday. The investigating officer of the case, Ruhia Police Station Sub Inspector Md. Akbar Ali said, raids were conducted at the house to catch the accused. They were not found even when they went to the Union Parishad. Efforts are on to nab them.
