Durga Puja started in 52 mandaps in Chatmohar

Tofazzal Hossain Babu, Pabna: Durga Puja is being held in 52 pujamandap in Chatmohar upazila of Pabna. Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of the Bengali Hindu community, started on Saturday (October 1) through Shasthi Puja. The five-day festival will end on Vijaya Dashami on October 5, according to the Siddhanta Panjika. Goddess Bodhan was held last Friday. The administration has taken all preparations to celebrate the puja in a fair and peaceful atmosphere. Separate vigilance teams have been formed. CCTV cameras have been installed in the mandaps. Hindus are in a festive mood. On the first day of the festival, the mandapas were full of chanting. Delete upazila executive officer. Mumtaz Mahal said that all steps have been taken by the administration to celebrate Durga Puja in a fair and peaceful manner. Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Jalal Uddin said Ansar members have been deployed in every mandap. Multiple teams of police are engaged in security. Police have been deployed in more important mandapas. Upazila Puja Celebration Council President Professor Ashok Chakraborty requested everyone's cooperation in the Durgo Festival. Meanwhile, on October 3, the initiative of Chatmohar Upazila Awami League has been taken to visit the Puja Mandap. President of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Land Ministry and MP of Pabna-3 Constituency. Upazila Awami League president SM Nazrul Islam said that Maqbul Hossain will visit various worship places in Chatmohar along with Awami League leaders.
