Teknaf sailor killed by stabbing

Javed Iqbal Chowdhury, Cox's Bazar: A young man named Mohammad Ismail (19) died after being stabbed at Shahpari Island in Teknaf. He is the son of Mohammad Rashid of local Dangar Para. The young man passed away while undergoing treatment at Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital in the early hours of Thursday, September 30. Teknaf Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Hafizur Rahman confirmed the truth of the news. It is known that Mohammad Ismail, the son of Mohammad Rashid of a village, was working as a boatman in a gold boat in Dangar Para, Shahpari Island, Ward No. 7 of Sabrang Union. Sonali's son Manjur traveled to the sea as a boatman. Mohammad Ismail was not going to the sea for the last two days because of various issues with the sailor Manjur. On Wednesday (September 29) Manzoor along with some others stabbed Ismail due to an argument about this. Mohammad Ismail died early Thursday morning at Cox's Bazar District Sadar Hospital when he was rescued and taken to the hospital for serious injuries. Meanwhile, on inquiry, Majhi Manjur came out of jail after being detained in the Yaba case a few months ago. Locals also believe that this incident has taken place due to the incident related to Yaba trafficking.
