In the seminar "Effect of Margin Loan on Investment Behavior and Performance: Insights from the Capital Market of Bangladesh", Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market Assistant Professor Dr. Tamanna Islam. Dr. Mahmuda said that this kind of research on margin loans in the context of the stock market is the first in Bangladesh. Such research results will help to advance the country's stock market. Dhaka University Associate Professor Al-Amin, Royal Capital Limited Managing Director Mohammad Munir Ahmed were present as discussants of the seminar. Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market (BICM) Assistant Professor Dr. Tamanna Islam in the main article entitled “Effect of Margin Loans on Investment Behavior and Performance: Insights from Bangladesh Stock Market” said, “This study attempts to examine the impact of margin loans on the behavior and performance of investors in the stock market. The results of the study show that the size of the investment is affected by the margin loan. After taking a margin loan, the frequency of trading will decrease. Margin lending also has a positive effect on returns. Portfolio size is influenced by the amount of margin debt. The seminar was attended by BICM faculty members, officials and other invited guests.
