Formation of new committee of Bashemurbi Prabir Environmental Science Club

Mejba, Bashemurbiprobi: The 2nd executive committee of Environment Science Club (ESC), an organization of students of Environmental Science and Disaster Management (ESD) Department, has been formed at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology (Bashemurbiprobi) in Gopalganj. Partha Pratim Brahm (Session 2017-18), a student of the 2nd batch of Environmental Science and Disaster Management Department, was announced as the President and Md. Safiqul Ahsan Imon (Session 2017-18) of the same batch as the General Secretary. The committee was announced on Tuesday (September 27) night with the consent of the advisory board. ESC Club's 2nd Executive Committee includes, "Vice President H. M. Raihanul Islam; Joint General Secretary Sudarshan Sarnal; Organizing Secretary M. Amanullah and Achintya Biswas; Finance Secretary Sanjida Islam; Office Secretary Arun Roy; Assistant Office Secretary Rifat Islam; Al Mahmud Murad and Mahadi Hasan Ghalib, Public Relations Editors; Bidisha Islam and Roni Islam, Public Relations Editors; Asaduzzaman and Akiq Tanzil Jihan, Research Editors; Design and Editing Editors Mozammel Haque and Mostafizur Rahman Mim; Education Information and Communication Editor Abdullah Bin Kaizar and Ananya Dhar; executive members Samyun Nahar Sandhi, Qazi Ashiqur Rahman, Saim Rayan Sifat, Naemul Hasan Naeem, Saiful Islam Adil and Tahsin Ahmed Soumik. Md. Rajib Hossain, President of Environmental Science and Disaster Management Department, has been appointed as the chief advisor of the organization Md. Muhaiminul Islam, Assistant Professor has also been appointed as advisor; Samsunnahar Poppy, Assistant Professor; Dr. Md. Rasheduzzaman, Assistant Professor; Ferdowsi Sultana, Assistant Professor; Zakia Sultana, Assistant Professor; Sharmin Akhter, Assistant Professor. When asked about the formation of the committee and its activities, the newly elected president of the organization Partha Pratim Brahm said, "Every year hundreds of thousands of students are admitted to our university. Our main objective will be to make everyone aware and think about our nature in a new way and build a pollution free environment.” In this regard, the newly elected general secretary of the organization, Md. Safiqul Ahsan Imon, said, "This club started its journey with the aim of making the students aware of the environment and making them more interested in creating a pollution-free environment. We will try to make students aware of this and become partners in building a healthy and beautiful Bangladesh.” Incidentally, on March 15, 2022, the Department of Environmental Science and Disaster Management of Bashemurbi Prabi, with the objective of providing students of all levels of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology with a practical understanding of environmental science and disaster management and making all students aware of the environment and making them more interested in creating a pollution-free environment. "Environmental Science Club, Bashemurbiprabi" started its journey as a result of the motivation of all the teachers and the long-term efforts of the students.
