Sanju Roy, Bogra: Police have set up special checkposts to maintain law and order situation in Bogra during the upcoming Autumn Durga Puja. The operation was conducted at 16 points including Jaleswaritala in the city from 4 pm to 6 pm on Tuesday. At that time, the police filed a case against 12 motorcycles due to lack of valid documents. District Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) and Media Spokesperson) Sharafat Islam led the drive. Bogra Sadar police station OC Noore Alam Siddiqui and members of DB police participated in the operation. Also assisted in handling cases under Motor Vehicle Act in Traffic Police Sergeant Abhiyan. According to the police, raids were conducted at 7 outposts of Bogra Sadar Thana Police and one outpost of Shajahanpur Thana Police by setting up two checkposts in total at 16 places. Among them, checkposts were set up at important places including Kalimandir, Jalkhanar Mor, Matidali Biman Mor, Seuzgari, Charmatha, Mahila College Mor, Colony, Khandar Mor, Kai-Gari Mor and Fultala in Jaleswaritla of Bogra city. In this regard, the media spokesperson of the district police, Additional Superintendent of Police Sharafat Islam said that an operation was conducted to maintain law and order situation during the puja. This special campaign started from Tuesday and will continue till the end of the puja. Not only the undocumented vehicles are being searched in the operation but also the crooks are being identified and searched. Also, everyone is being warned to drive by wearing a helmet as per the rules at the check post.
