Formation of committee of Kurigram district branch of Dhruvatara

Md Hasan, Kurigram: Yachin Arafat and Alamgir Hossain have been appointed as president and general secretary of Kurigram district branch of Dhrubatara Youth Development Foundation, an organization that received Joy Bangla Youth Award. On Monday, a circular signed by Amiya Prapan Chakraborty, the founder of Dhravatara and the current general secretary of the central committee, author of the national youth policy, approved the 31-member committee for a period of one year. As advisors in the committee, Honorable Minister of State for Primary and Mass Education Zakir Hossain MP, Principal of Kurigram Government College Mirza Md. Nasir Uddin, Vice Principal of Ulipur Government College Abu Jobair Al Mukul, National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam University Associate Professor of Fine Arts Department. Tapan Kumar Sarkar, Kurigram Government College English Department Lecturer GM Morshedul Islam, Chilmari Upazila Parishad Women Vice Chairman and Acting Upazila Chairman Ms Asma Begum and Golam Habib Women Degree College Principal Md Zakir Hossain. Alamgir Hossain, general secretary of Kurigram district branch Dhravatara said, we have got a very hardworking team. According to Dhravatara's vision, besides serving humanity, we want to work with minorities including Hijra, disabled, children, tribals, Harijan community, achieving SDG targets. I will also work on the empowerment of women. Besides developing our own skills and leadership, we will try our best to build a harmonious society and country. We will stand as a role model in creating an energetic youth society and entrepreneurship in the present time. It may be noted that Dhruvatara Youth Development Foundation (DYDF) established in 2000 has been working for youth empowerment and development in the country for the past 22 years. 48 thousand youths have received support in their activities in 47 districts. Dhruvatara Youth Development Foundation was awarded Best Youth Organization in 2014, National Youth Organization in 2016, Queen's Youth Leaders Award in 2017 and Joy Bangla Youth Award in 2021 for its outstanding contribution to youth society.
