News desk:  When Awami League will take the streets, it will take the people with it, said the party's general secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader.

He said, "We believe that the people of this country are with the development and achievements of Awami League. So BNP's dream of taking power in an undemocratic way will soon be shattered."

He said these things during the briefing at the secretariat on Sunday (September 25).

Addressing the BNP leaders, Obaidul Quader said, “There is no use in creating anarchy and seeing the nightmare of changing the government. Caretaker government is a settled issue. There's no use arguing about it."

Regarding Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir's request for resignation of the government, Obaidul Quader said to him, "Why should the government resign?" And who will resign? The government has been elected for a fixed period, the next election will be held in due course.”

He further said, "There is no chance of changing the government without elections and people's mandate."
