US-Bangla MD Awarded Best Airline Entrepreneur

News desk: The managing director of the country's private airline US-Bangla Airlines, Mr. Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun, has written an incredible success story in the aviation sector of Bangladesh. For the first time in Bangladesh, he was awarded as the best airline entrepreneur of the year. US-Bangla Airlines is already operating the highest number of flights to all airports in the country after starting its journey on July 17, 2014 by operating flights from Dhaka to Jessore with two Dash 8-Q400 aircraft. Currently, the US-Bangla fleet has a total of 16 aircraft. Among them, 6 Boeing 737-800, 7 ATR 72-600 and three Dash 8-Q400 aircraft. Operating flights to 11 destinations in 9 countries on international routes. There are plans to add four Boeing 737-800 and three ATR 72-600 aircraft to the US-Bangla fleet this year. At present, US-Bangla Airlines has more than two thousand officers and employees, who are working in the country and abroad. US-Bangla is the only private airline to have provident fund benefits for its employees. US-Bangla Airlines plans to operate flights to various European destinations including London, Rome by 2024 and New York, Toronto by 2025. There are plans to start flights on the Jeddah route from Dhaka within this year. US-Bangla is moving forward with planning and implementation for the last nine years. It is the first private airline in Bangladesh to contract for ticket sales through Global Distribution System Travelport. For the first time in Bangladesh, a private airline has added brand new aircraft for passengers on domestic routes. The average age of US-Bangla Airlines aircraft is around 10 years. US-Bangla Airlines is moving forward with plans to increase the average age of aircraft to 7 to 8 years. US-Bangla has been awarded the best domestic airlines of Bangladesh in 2022. US-Bangla is dreaming of becoming the best airline in Asia. US-Bangla Airlines is moving ahead with the plan to operate flights to all the destinations where Bangladeshis are staying all over the world. Mr. Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun is moving US-Bangla Airlines forward with the goal of coordinating the country's aviation as the architect of all plans. On September 23, 2022, Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Tourism, Mr. Md. Mahbub Ali MP, presented the award to Mr. Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun, Managing Director of US-Bangla Airlines, as "Airline Entrepreneur of the Year". Bangladesh Monitor Editor Kazi Wahidul Alam, Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Professor Shibli Rubaiyat-ul-Islam and representatives of the travel and tourism sector were present at the award ceremony among others.
