Two members of the same family were killed and 1 injured when a truck crushed them in Dinajpur

Salah Uddin Ahmed, Dinajpur  : Two members of the same family were killed and one seriously injured when a truck ran over them in Dinajpur. The accident happened in front of M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital around 5 am today (Saturday). The relatives of the deceased have complained that the helper was driving the truck instead of the driver.

Azgar son of deceased Azizul Haque of North Bajitpur village of Sundarganj upazila of Gaibandhar, Mohammad Ali son of Maqbul Hossain of Khanpara village of the same upazila were killed in the accident. And another person named Maqbul Hossain was injured. About they are brothers in law.

Eyewitnesses said that the pedestrians were going to their destination at M Abdur Rahimpur Hospital in Dinajpur at around five in the morning when they were going to visit their relatives from Gaibandha to Khwadar Mor in Pulhat, Dinajpur city. At that time, a city-bound truck passed them and hit an ambulance standing on the side of the road. Mohammad Ali and his brother-in-law Azgar Ali were killed on the spot. Maqbul, another brother-in-law of Muhammad Ali, has been admitted to the ICU unit of M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital in a critical condition.

Deputy Inspector of Kotyali Police Station Zakaria Hossain said that after receiving information about the accident, the Kotwali Police Station along with civil defense and fire service personnel took part in the rescue operation. They have taken the killer truck into custody after two people were killed and another injured in the accident.
