Two more people died of dengue in the country, 437 patients in hospital

News desk: 437 people have been admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours due to dengue fever carried by Aedes mosquito. With this, the number of dengue patients admitted to the hospital increased to 1,529. In addition, two deaths due to dengue have been reported in the last 24 hours.

Thursday (September 22) in charge of Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health Dr. Md. This information has been informed in the dengue report signed by Zahidul Islam.

According to the report, 437 dengue patients were admitted to the hospital between 8 am on Wednesday and 8 am on Thursday. Among the new patients, 306 people are receiving treatment in different hospitals in Dhaka. 131 people are receiving treatment outside Dhaka.

Currently, a total of 1,529 dengue patients are admitted in various public and private hospitals in the country. Among them, 1,183 people are receiving treatment in 50 government and private hospitals in Dhaka. 346 people are admitted in different hospitals outside Dhaka.

According to the information of the Department of Health, from January 1 to September 22 this year, 12 thousand 875 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue. Among them, 11 thousand 298 people have recovered and been discharged from the hospital.

During this time, 10 thousand 17 people were infected and admitted to the hospital in Dhaka. Among them, 8 thousand 813 people have recovered and returned home. Besides, 2 thousand 858 people were admitted to hospitals outside Dhaka. Among them, 2 thousand 485 people have recovered and returned home.

Meanwhile, two deaths due to dengue have been reported in the last 24 hours. From January 1 this year, 48 people have died due to dengue.

During the corona epidemic in 2020, dengue infection was not seen much, but in 2021, 28 thousand 429 people were infected across the country. In the same year, 105 people died due to dengue throughout the country.
