Superintendent of Police handed over FDR to son of deceased police constable

News Desk: Mymensingh District Police Lines Superintendent of Police Machum Ahmed Bhuya, PPM has held a monthly welfare meeting on Sunday (September 18).

Superintendent of Police Machum Ahmed Bhuya handed over a check of seven lakh FDR to the wife and son of Constable Md. Mahidur Rahman of Tarakanda Police Station of Mymensingh District.

It is known that this money has been collected by the donation of the policemen working in the district on the sole initiative of the Superintendent of Police.

The FDR has been made in the name of Pratya Ahmed Varna, son of the deceased constable. He is a seventh class student.

As the financial condition of the deceased constable was very bad, the Superintendent of Police took this great humanitarian initiative, seeing the issue of continuing his son's studies from a humanitarian point of view.

It is noted that the deceased constable was working as a driver constable in Tarakanda police station. He died of a heart attack while coming to Mymensingh Sadar to testify in the performance of government duties.

Also in the welfare meeting recently retired Court Inspector, Mymensingh Prasoon Kanti Das and Police Lines Inspector (Armed) Md Hazrat Ali were felicitated.

The Superintendent of Police gave full crests and felicitations to the departing guests. Meanwhile, district police constable Sujan Miah was felicitated with monetary award for winning gold medal in national martial arts competition.

Tourist Police, Superintendent of Police of Mymensingh Zone Mr. Md. Humayun Kabir, senior officials of district police including PPM, officers in-charge of all police stations, representatives of Mymensingh District PBI, Shilpanchal Police and CID were present in the crime review meeting.
