Entertainment Desk: Salman Shah is the most popular hero of Bengali films of the nineties. Today (Tuesday) is his 26th death anniversary. On this day in 1996, he went to the land of no return, making millions of fans cry. Acting in only 27 films, this hero built a permanent place in the minds of the Bengali audience. Salman Shah was born on September 19, 1971 at Nanabari in Dariapara, Sylhet. His father is Kamar Uddin Chowdhury and mother Neela Chowdhury. Salman is the elder of the two brothers. Younger brother Shahran Chowdhury Ivan. Salman's journey in the entertainment industry started as a model for commercials. He worked in commercials for Ispahani Goldstar Tea, Jaguar Keds, Milk Vita, Coca-Cola, Fanta and Jaguar Keds. Around 1985, Salman participated in Hanif Sanket's 'Katha Katha' magazine event. At that time, however, he was known as Eamon. Salman was also known as a singer. He had great interest in arts and culture from his childhood. Everyone in the circle of friends knew him as a singer. In 1986 he also passed from Chayanot to Palligiti. In 1993, Salman got married to Samira, the daughter of his mother's girlfriend, before he started acting in films. In this movie, the then popular model and photo beauty Moushumi Anand Bichitra acted opposite Salman Shah. With the first film, he won the hearts of countless fans and viewers. Overnight he became the superstar of Dhakai films. Moushumi worked in only four films with Salman Shah. After that, Salman Shah and Shabnoor paired up for the first time in the movie 'Tumi Amar' directed by late actor and director Zahirul Haque. Salman Shah acted in a total of 14 films with Shabnoor. Apart from this, Shabnaaz, Shahnaz, Lima, Shilpi, Shyama, Sonia, Brishti, Sabrina and Kanchi acted in a pair with Salman. Salman Shah has reigned alone in his film career of just four years. Business has given 27 movies in these four years. Salman Shah is one of the most talked about names in the history of Bengali cinema even though he passed away 26 years ago.
