Terrorist attack on journalist in Lalmonirhat and human chain demanding punishment of accused

Mostafizur Rahman Mostafa, Lalmonirhat: Five journalists in Lalmonirhat district during their professional duties: Prothom Alor Abdur Rab Sujan Jamuna TV Anisur Rahman Ladla, now TV Bakul camera person and Hatibandha Upazila Ajker newspaper correspondent Rabiul Islam Robi K A meeting was held in Hatibandha upazila in protest against the terrorist attack, the demand for the arrest of the accused. This human chain and protest meeting was held in front of Parishad Gate of Hatibandha Upazila of Lalmonirhat on Sunday afternoon. The journalists working in the district upazila of Manabbandha were present in the organization of Hatibandha Reporters Club. Reporters Club President Altaf Hossain Sumon spoke at the event under the chairmanship of Report Club General Secretary Mostafizur Rahman Mostafa, Joint General Ah Rahim Organizing Secretary Asad Hossain Rifat and Senior Journalist Channel 24 Staff Reporter Milan Patwari along with Reporters Unity District President Yunus Ali Journalist Ripon and many others. Incidentally, it was alleged that Sultan Hossain Mandal, son of Awami League leader Azizur, had eloped with Badrul Hasan's wife Lovely Begum of Sinduria village in Deuti's Panchgram union of the upazila on the night of August 7. Sultan Hossain is the president of Ward No. 2 Jubo League of that union. In that incident, Lovely's husband made a general diary (GD) at Badrul police station. The four journalists went to Panchagram Union to collect information in this regard. Sultan's father Azizur's statement on this matter was attacked on the way back under the leadership of his son Saheb Mandal.
