Teen stabbed over playground sharing

Al Masud, Panchagarh: In Panchagarh's Atwari upazila, a teenager named Sohail Rana (19) was stabbed and injured in an argument between two teenagers over the sharing of the football field. The accident happened on Friday (August 12) evening in the Lilar Mela market of Balrampur Union of Atwari Upazila of the district. The injured Sohel Rana is the son of Barkatulla of Balrampur area of ​​the same union. As his condition worsened after the injury, he was sent to Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital for better treatment. According to local sources, Farhad, the son of deceased Nural Haque of Shyamagaon village of Devipur Union, said to bet on the football game on Thursday (August 11) at the Leela Mela Dakhil Madrasa ground of Balrampur Union. An argument ensued between the two. Later on Friday (August 12) morning, while playing on the Madrasa field, the two got into a fight over the sharing of the field. They were separated from there with the help of the youth present. Meanwhile, Farhad tried to run away by stabbing Sohail in the stomach with a knife before realizing anything in Lilarmela market in the evening. At one point, when Sohail fell down in a bloody state, his classmates and locals chased Farhad. At that time, the murderer Farhad entered a shop and cut off his fingers to protect himself from the hands of the locals. Later the locals blocked him. Meanwhile, Sohail was quickly rescued and taken to Upazila Health Complex, as his condition worsened, the doctor sent him to Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital at night for better treatment. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Atwari Police Station Sohel Rana said, I went to the ground at night after receiving the news. And we are taking investigation and legal action before complaint. He also said that if the injured Sohail's family complains to the police station, the case will be taken up quickly and interim legal measures will be taken.
