News Desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid tribute at the tomb of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Tungipara, Gopalganj. At that time, his younger sister Sheikh Rehana was with him. On Friday (August 12) at around 11 o'clock, the Prime Minister paid his respects by placing floral wreaths at Bangabandhu's mausoleum. He stood silently for a while. Later, Bangabandhu, his martyred family members and the martyrs of the great liberation war participated in Fateha reading and special prayer. Earlier, the Prime Minister crossed the Padma Bridge by road on a family visit to Muksudpur in Gopalganj at 9:50 am and reached Gopalganj Sadar at 10:30 am. After reaching Tungipara, he went to Bangabandhu's tomb complex. Meanwhile, strict security arrangements have been made across the city for the Prime Minister's arrival. Tungipara Upazila Awami League general secretary Babul Sheikh said that after paying respects at Bangabandhu's tomb, the Prime Minister will hold a discussion meeting with the leaders and workers at the party headquarters in Tungipara.
