News Desk: Due to the ongoing Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project in the capital's airport area, three lanes of traffic are currently closed, resulting in severe traffic jams. In this situation, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Traffic Uttara Division has requested passengers traveling to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to take extra time to start their journey.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADC) Badrul Hasan of Traffic Uttara Division gave this information on Wednesday (August 10) afternoon.
He said that three lanes of traffic are currently closed due to the ongoing BRT project in the capital's airport area. It often creates severe traffic jams on the road. For this reason, passengers going to Uttara and Gazipur via Khilkhet are requested to take sufficient time to travel on this road.
He especially requested the passengers going to the airport to take extra time to start their journey. At the same time, airport-bound passengers are specifically requested to use the left lane after passing Hotel La Meridien and Kawla.
