Satellite made by Indian school students in space

News desk: India made history by sending a small satellite made by 750 school students into space. According to Hindustan Times, the Indian space research organization ISRO launched the satellite named Azadisat from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.

It was launched on a 'Small Lift Launch' rocket at 9:18 am on Sunday. However, it was reported that there were some data errors before the launch. So right now scientists are working on data processing said ISRO Chairman S Somnath.

Artificial satellite Azadisat weighs only 8 kg. 75 separate parts have been added to mark 75 years of India's independence.

The team of students who built this satellite is called 'Space Kids India'. The satellite will rotate around the Earth's axis and send various information to ISRO scientists from there.

Apart from Azadisat, ISRO's rocket has reached space with another artificial satellite named AOS-2. AOS-2 satellite weighs 145 kg. It will send experimental images from space.

The countdown to the rocket launch began at 2:18 p.m. The rocket was launched today at 9:18 am.
